Jay Muscat, a 17 year old Australian teenager, was fatally injured while spearfishing at Cheynes Beach, about 60 kilometers east of Albany, in Western Australia. Jay was bitten on the leg by a white shark that was up to 5m long. This incient is the 8th in Western Australia in the past five years. The shark in question might have been injured as a spear was fired at it during the attack.
