Benjamin Charles Linden, 24-year-old, was surfing when he was killed by a white shark. A witness - Matt Holmes - was jet skiing close by and tried to grab the body of Benjamin. While attempting to rescue the victim, the shark allegedly tried to throw him off.

Holmes mentioned that Benjamin’s body was cut in half. The shark was estimated to be between 5 and 5m long and nicknamed ‘Brutus.’ The Western Australia Department of Fisheries set baited traps near the site to attempt catching the shark. This fatal incident was the fifth deadly shark attack in Western Australia within the last 10 months.
